Course Overview: Immerse yourself in a transformative learning experience with our Learning Lab, a structured time designed to support students across various disciplines. Whether you're preparing for the HiSET exam, transitioning to college, enhancing digital literacy, or seeking math and English tutoring, this comprehensive lab offers a holistic approach to academic success.

Key Features:

Structured Learning: Utilize whole-class, small-group, and tutoring/individual work settings.

Multidisciplinary Support: Receive assistance in HiSET Prep (GED), College Transitions, Digital Literacy, and Math and English tutoring.

Study and Organizational Skills: Learn essential study and organizational skills for academic excellence.

Career Readiness: Gain insights into career readiness for future success.

Required Materials:

Device (desktop or laptop). Avoid studying on smartphones.

Basic supplies: Notebook, pencil, pen, or note-taking apps.

Access course materials on various apps, such as PowerSchool and EssentialEd.

Bring any textbooks you use to class.

Other:

Class Participation: Engage in-person or online asynchronously, working independently or with instructor support.

Course-Specific Support: Individualized support available. Contact instructors to schedule support sessions.

Course Policies: Follow classroom expectations: Come prepared, stay on task, minimize cellphone use.

CCMA

Students will review important topics including medical terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, electronic health records, medical billing and coding, phlebotomy, pharmacology, the proper use and administration of medications, taking and documenting vital signs, cardiology including proper EKG lead placements, professional workplace behavior, ethics and the legal aspects of healthcare.

This program is offered as part of our Adult Education Workforce grants. Enrollment is an application process. Accepted students will work with Adult Education and partner programs to provide this course free of charge. Classes will be hybrid (onsite and online) with onsite labs at multiple locations. Upon successful completion of our program, students will be eligible to take a national certification exam, and have an opportunity for job shadowing/externship. Class time: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5:30pm-9pm.

Labs: Will be in Baileyville, time to be determined. 

Phlebotomy

$3,200

with Academy of Medical Professionals

Calendar Jun 18, 2024 at 5:30 pm, runs for 10 weeks

Become Nationally Certified in 10 weeks as a Phlebotomy Technician. Our course is all-inclusive and prepares you for national certification with live classes via Zoom and in-person skills labs. You will be able to perform basic phlebotomy procedures, evaluate patients for ability to withstand venipuncture procedure, explain the procedure and answer patient questions, perform basic point of care testing, such as blood glucose levels on patients, prepare blood, urine, and other body fluid specimens for testing according to established standards.  $3,200 includes Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) national certification through NHA, books, resume and job assistance.  Payment plans available.

Live Classes meet TU/TH 5:30-8:30 PM.
